Hair Oh Yeah now adds a light therapy to your hair treatment session. You can also come in and enjoy a light therapy session between your TED sessions, to optimize your hair growth and cell bio-rejuvenation. To experience the maximum benefit from this therapy, you should try to pop in for 2 to 3 treatments a week. Some people are investing in the red-light helmets but sadly, their reach is often insufficient to make changes at the hair follicle level. To add to this, red light alone can only activate dormant follicles and doesn’t address the full hair loss picture.
The light that we use has red light, near infra-red light and blue light therapy benefits. The light has a deeper reach, reaching 650 nm, 850 nm and 1020 nm. Why is this important? Light needs to reach certain depths in the skin to activate the regeneration process at cellular level – whether this is stimulating dormant hair follicles, triggering fibroblasts to create collagen or addressing inflammation. The magic happens when you combine Red light, Near Infra-Red light and Blue light. That is what we offer.
What does Light Therapy do?
RED LIGHT THERAPY
- Increases cellular energy production.
What we call ATP (adenosine triphosphate) is the primary fuel for most human cells and red light triggers the creation of ATP in the cells.
Hair loss can be due to the cells not producing enough ATP and hence red light can stimulate hair growth by triggering ATP production.
- Increase blood flow.
Cells rely on blood flow for the supply of nutrients and oxygen.
- Increased Collagen Production.
Red light therapy stimulates collagen synthesis, collagen contains protein building blocks for keratin. Keratin is an important component of hair.
- Reduced inflammation.
Chronic inflammation manifests as mitochondrial dysfunction – seen as aging in the skin and hair loss on the scalp.
NEAR INFRA-RED THERAPY
- NIR wavelengths penetrate deeper. At these levels NIR can address inflammation that is causing damage to the hair follicles. Regular treatments will reduce inflammation-damaged cells and can stimulate hair follicles to naturally enter the growth (anagen) phase.
- Because NIR works at the deeper levels, it stimulates the tissue below. This amplifies the effect of red-light therapy.
BLUE LIGHT THERAPY
- Blue light is commonly used to treat chronic-inflammatory skin disorders and acne. Clinical trials have shown that when psoriasis and eczema patients were treated, their psoriasis plaques reduced dramatically with blue light therapy.
- Eczema patients have seen marked decreases in itchiness and improvement eczema lesions.
- Studies show that most patients with androgenic alopecia (genetic male and female pattern baldness), saw an increase in hair density and thickness when treated with blue light for a 10-week period.

I met Mandy at Emerald City Beauty Grand Opening Event located in Bellevue, WA. Mandy was demonstrating Ted Technology+ Hair Care Formula. I have thinning hair so I was all ears. I liked that the Ted Technology+ was an ultrasound based system that offers benefits from improved blood flow. A natural way of stimulating hair growth. After 4 treatments my hair is definitely fuller. Hello, I wanted to take a few moments and provide an unbiased review of "Hair Oh Yeah". My primary purpose was to thicken up and regrow hair on my patchy and thin attempt at a beard. Also, I was not looking for any gimmicks and have never tried any products or treatments before. After talking with Mandy, the owner, as well as doing my own research, I wanted to try it out because of all the positive results and the new improved technology. Also, seeing it on the Good Morning America TV show helped with the credibility. I can honestly say that my beard is growing new hair and my existing hair is stronger even only after (2) treatments. I can't wait until the next treatment to see additional results. This TED device really, really works....WOW!!! I also wanted to share that Mandy showcases what seems to be her natural ability to nurture and make you feel very comfortable.
